“Research and Application Demonstration on Key Technologies of AR Information Service in Museum Based on 4G/5G” is a large scientific research project within the framework of joint Croatian-Chinese funding of research projects. As part of the project, the Chinese team visited Croatia and the Croatian team.
The project holder is the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Graphic Arts. The Chinese partner is the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. The partners of the project are the company CITUS d.o.o. and the National Museum of Modern Art Zagreb. Through the development and field tests, conferences, and expert exchange programs, we have developed hardware and software technologies for a “people-centered” information transmission system architecture of dedicated terminal and digital content.
ARMuseum is an application that represents an innovative platform for enriching the user experience of museum visitors and enhancing museum exhibits.It is based on the key technologies of augmented reality (AR), cloud-based recognition function, and precise position superposition technology of AR on the mobile device, which can realize the rapid recognition and tracking of 3D objects on the mobile device, as well as the precise location-based superposition of real image and virtual digital content of 3D objects.
